PVD Colour Stainless Steel Sheets| Fabrinox

Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) coating has found a plethora of new and innovative uses since it has been discovered.

PVD coated coloured stainless steel is usually used in the manufacturing of art, buildings, Gyms, and for interior and exterior applications. When it relates to stainless steel, you are not limited to only silver. The Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) technique allows for a wide range of color options. The stainless steel is initially cleaned during the PVD coating process to ensure that the coating bonds effectively, then positioned in a high vacuum chamber with the target metal. Then a high voltage circuit and argon gas are introduced for the PVD process. The entire procedure of PVD coating is called sputtering, and it leads to the deposition of plasma on the surface of stainless steel sheets, thereby providing it with new strength, durability, and sheen.

All this is achieved using the PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) Titanium Ion Plating method, which boosts the stainless steel performance by enhancing wearing, scratching, and corrosion resistance. This makes it considerably more durable than traditional coating processes such as electroplating or powder coating. The PVD method is also more ecologically benign than procedures like electroplating and painting, with zero-emission of gas, water waste, or other residues.

PVD may provide colored surface coatings such as gold, rose gold, bronze, etc. The resulting ceramic coating is very thin, allowing the roughness of the underlying finish to be seen. These PVD colours would not eventually fade away and have the advantage of being more consistent in look and more scratch-resistant than electrochemical coloration.

PVD colour Stainless steel sheets are generally used for aesthetic indoor and outdoor wall panels, ceilings, entrances, windows, columns, stairway handrails, elevators, and roof tiles of historic architecture. The perfect blend of aesthetics and functionality gives PVD coating a unique place in interiors and exterior spaces. Not only it is efficient in providing wear resistance, but it also makes it much more aesthetically appealing.

It may also be used to make anti-corrosion equipment, plaque, advertisement walls, panels, ornamental patterns, instrument panels, and other kinds of interior and exterior work.

Another technical benefit of PVD is the potential to mimic the look of more expensive metals like copper, brass, bronze, and gold. The tint will not form on PVD-coated metal. Quick cleaning is all that is required to maintain the original copper hue looking nice.
